Dillon Wildcats (Dillon, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Latta Vikings (Latta, SC), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Georgetown for a AAA Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 14.

With the loss, Latta falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Vikings host Hannah-Pamplico (Pamplico, SC) to battle the Raiders in a A Region 6 challenge on Wednesday, March 15. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Hannah-Pamplico won 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Marion (Marion, SC)
