The Gateway Eagles softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host East Lee County Jaguars to 0 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Gateway improves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Estero (Estero, FL) to clash with the Wildcats in a 4A District 12 game on Friday, March 10. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 3-4. Estero lost 8-2 in their recent non-league game against Fort Myers (Fort Myers, FL)

In their next game, the Jaguars clash with the Dunbar Tigers (Fort Myers, FL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 14. East Lee County will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 0-8 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Lehigh (Lehigh Acres, FL).
