The West Johnston Wildcats softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Eastern Alamance Eagles to 5 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, West Johnston improves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Wildcats host Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league game on Friday, March 10. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 0-3. Corinth Holders lost 9-7 in their recent non-league game against North Johnston (Kenly, NC)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 10. Eastern Alamance will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 3-0 record after their 4-3 non-league win over South Columbus (Tabor City, NC).
