Wylie Pirates (Wylie, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting North Garland Raiders (Garland, TX), 24-0 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Rowlett for a 6A Region II District 9 challenge on Thursday, March 16. Wylie will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 20-0 league win over South Garland (Garland, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, North Garland falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Raiders host Lakeview Centennial (Garland, TX) to battle the Patriots in a 6A Region II District 9 challenge on Thursday, March 16. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Lakeview Centennial won 15-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Diamond Hill-Jarvis (Fort Worth, TX)
