In Saturday's league game, the visiting Abilene Eagles baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Cooper Cougars.
The Eagles (8-5) will now prepare for their game against Lubbock (Lubbock, TX). The Westerners go into the 5A Region I District 4 game with a 6-12 record. In their last game, Lubbock was edged by Permian (Odessa, TX), 9-5, in a non-league game.
