Hackett Hornets (Hackett, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lincoln Wolves (Lincoln, AR), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northside for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 11. Hackett will battle a Grizzlies squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to Fayetteville (Fayetteville, AR). The Grizzlies record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Lincoln falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Wolves host Valley Springs (Valley Springs, AR) to battle the Tigers in a 3A Region 1 challenge on Monday, March 11. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
