The Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM) softball routed the visiting Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 20-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Vikings (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Belen (Belen, NM). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 4-1 record. In their last bout, Belen toppled Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM), 13-3, in a non-league bout.

The Hornets now possess a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Moriarty for a non-league bout on Monday, March 11. Highland will confront a Pintos squad coming off a 24-4 non-league win over Socorro (Socorro, NM). The Pintos record now stands at 2-0.
