The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons baseball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Georgia School for Innovation & Classics Patriots to 0 in the Gryphons league victory on Friday.
The Gryphons (12-6) will now prepare for their match against Westfield School (Perry, GA). The Hornets go into the non-league match with a 10-4 record. In their last match, Westfield School gained a win over Southwest Georgia Academy (Damascus, GA), 15-1, in a non-league match.
The Patriots (5-7) will now prepare for their match against Wilkinson County (Irwinton, GA). The Warriors go into the A Public Region 7 match with a 4-8 record. In their last match, Wilkinson County gained a win over Glascock County (Gibson, GA), 4-1, in a league match.
