South Summit Wildcats (Kamas, UT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Layton Christian Academy Eagles (Layton, UT), 18-2 in a league test.

With the win, South Summit upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Grantsville (Grantsville, UT) to battle the Cowboys in a 3A Region 13 test on Tuesday, April 5. The Cowboys come into the test with a record of 9-4. Grantsville won 11-3 in their recent league test against Ogden (Ogden, UT)

With the defeat, Layton Christian Academy falls to 0-8 on the season. The Eagles host Morgan (Morgan, UT) to battle the Trojans in a 3A Region 13 test on Tuesday, April 5. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 5-5.
