The Morehead Panthers baseball team scored 19 runs and limited the host T.W. Andrews Red Raiders to 1 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.
The Panthers (10-1) will now prepare for their match against McMichael (Mayodan, NC). The Phoenix go into the Mid-State 2A match with a 11-1 record. In their last challenge, McMichael beat Bethany (Summerfield, NC), 15-0, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, T.W. Andrews falls to 3-7 on the season. The Red raiders host High Point Central (High Point, NC) to encounter the Bison in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. The Bison come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. High Point Central lost 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC)
