The West Wilkes Blackhawks baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the host North Wilkes Vikings to 1 in the Blackhawks league victory on Friday.
The Blackhawks (7-7) will now prepare for their match against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds go into the Foothills 2A match with a 6-6 record. In their last match, North Surry was overwhelmed by Forbush (East Bend, NC), 9-1, in a league match.
The Vikings (3-9) will now prepare for their match against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Buckin' Elks go into the non-league match with a 4-6 record. In their last match, Elkin was overwhelmed by Surry Central (Dobson, NC), 18-7, in a non-league match.
