East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals confront the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a Foothills 2A challenge, on Tuesday, April 5. East Surry will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 1-0 league win over North Surry (Mount Airy, NC).

The Blackhawks now have a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Surry Central for a Foothills 2A challenge on Friday, April 8.
