Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), 13-12 in a league test.

With the win, Pinecrest upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Patriots host Scotland (Laurinburg, NC) to battle the Fighting Scots in a test on Tuesday, April 5. The Fighting Scots come into the test with a record of 3-5.

With the defeat, Lee County falls to 5-3 on the season. The Yellow jackets host Richmond (Rockingham, NC) to battle the Raiders in a test on Wednesday, April 6. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 6-4. Richmond won 22-1 in their recent league test against Union Pines (Cameron, NC)
