In Friday's league battle, the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) lacrosse squad routed the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), by a count of 18-4.
Coming up next, the Pirates clash with the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern battle, on Tuesday, April 5. Topsail will attempt to advance on its 6-2 season record. The Buccaneers come into the battle with a 5-2 record after their 20-12 league loss to Ashley (Wilmington, NC).
The Cougars now own a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they host North Myrtle Beach for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 2. South Brunswick will clash with a Chiefs squad coming off a 18-10 league loss to Myrtle Beach (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Chiefs record now stands at 3-7.
