In Friday's non-league battle, the host Glenvar Highlanders soccer squad scored a close 6-1 triumph over the Staunton River Golden Eagles.
The Highlanders (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Galax (Galax, VA). The Maroon Tide come into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record.
The Golden Eagles (1-6) will now prepare for their battle against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Eagles come into the Blue Ridge battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Franklin County was overwhelmed by Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
