With the triumph, Gates County moves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Red Barons travel to Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC) to play the Bears in a non-league contest on Monday, April 4. The Bears come into the contest with a record of 11-1. Bear Grass Charter won 10-0 in their recent non-league contest against Perquimans (Hertford, NC)

In their next game, the Falcons play the Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC) in a Four Rivers 1A contest, on Tuesday, April 5. Bertie will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Pirates come into the contest with a 8-4 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC).
