The Cherokee Braves softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Murphy Bulldogs to 6 in the Braves league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Cherokee improves its record to 4-6 on the year. The Braves host Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC) to clash with the Black Knights in a Smoky Mountain 1A game on Tuesday, April 5. The Black Knights come into the game with a record of 8-1. Robbinsville won 14-1 in their recent league game against Swain County (Bryson City, NC)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 4. Murphy will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 6-5 record after their 14-5 league win over East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC).
