Fairfield Indians (Fairfield, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sycamore Aviators (Cincinnati, OH), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Indians now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Richmond for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 2.

With the loss, Sycamore falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Aviators host Lakota East (Liberty Township, OH) to face the Thunderhawks in a Greater Miami challenge on Monday, April 4. The Thunderhawks enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Lakota East won 21-11 in their recent league challenge against Middletown (Middletown, OH)
