The crowd at Friday's league match between the Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX) and the visiting Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX), saw Montwood's softball squad nip Franklin by a count of 6-4.

The Rams now sport a 12-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coronado for a 6A Region I District 1 match on Wednesday, April 6. Montwood will face a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Socorro (El Paso, TX). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 6-20.

With the loss, Franklin falls to 7-21 on the campaign. The Cougars host Eastwood (El Paso, TX) to face the Troopers in a 6A Region I District 1 match on Wednesday, April 6. The Troopers enter the match with a record of 25-4. Eastwood won 7-4 in their recent league match against Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX)
