North Carolina High School Softball - Purnell Swett bounces Gray's Creek

Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cape Fear for a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Purnell Swett will battle a Colts squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Lumberton (Lumberton, NC). The Colts record now stands at 11-1.

With the loss, Gray's Creek falls to 9-2 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC) to battle the Falcons in a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Seventy-First lost 25-0 in their recent league challenge against South View (Hope Mills, NC)
