The New Waverly Bulldogs softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Hardin Hornets to 1 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, New Waverly moves its record to 15-5 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Tarkington (Cleveland, TX) to clash with the Longhorns in a 3A Region III District 23 game on Tuesday, April 5. The Longhorns come into the game with a record of 7-11. Tarkington won 18-1 in their recent league game against Trinity (Trinity, TX)

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans (Coldspring, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 game, on Tuesday, April 5. Hardin will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Trojans come into the game with a 11-10 record after their 15-11 league win over Onalaska (Onalaska, TX).
