Spectators at Friday's league match between the Salado Eagles (Salado, TX) and the host Jarrell Cougars (Jarrell, TX), witnessed Salado's softball squad tip Jarrell by a count of 3-2.

The Eagles now sport a 15-7 record. They play next when they host Taylor for a 4A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, April 5. Salado will face a Ducks squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Gateway College Preparatory (Georgetown, TX). The Ducks record now stands at 13-3.

With the loss, Jarrell moves to 3-7 on the season. The Cougars travel to Burnet (Burnet, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 4A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, April 5. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 16-6. Burnet lost 4-2 in their recent league match against Lake Belton (Temple, TX)
