In Friday's non-league contest, the Kiona-Benton Bears (Benton City, WA) softball team overwhelmed the host Wapato Wolves (Wapato, WA), by a margin of 18-7.
With the triumph, Kiona-Benton moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bears host Columbia (Burbank, WA) to play the Coyotes in a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 12. The Coyotes come into the contest with a record of 4-0. Columbia won 22-9 in their recent non-league contest against Granger (Granger, WA)
In their next game, the Wolves play the Wahluke Warriors (Mattawa, WA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 8. Wapato will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record.
