The Cadets come into the game with a record of 8-12. Connally won 14-4 in their recent league game against Madisonville (Madisonville, TX)

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX) in a 4A Region III District 18 game, on Tuesday, April 5. La Vega will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 11-8 record after their 22-0 league win over Mexia (Mexia, TX).
