The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Melbourne Bulldogs (Melbourne, FL) and the host Lake Brantley Patriots (Altamonte Springs, FL), saw Melbourne's softball squad nip Lake Brantley by a count of 2-0.
The Bulldogs now sport a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they host Palm Bay for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 5. Melbourne will face a Pirates squad coming off a 15-7 non-league loss to Heritage (Palm Bay, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 4-6.
With the loss, Lake Brantley falls to 11-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Hagerty (Oviedo, FL) to face the Huskies in a 7A District 3 match on Wednesday, April 6. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 7-2.
