North Carolina High School Softball - Union Pines bounces Lee County

The Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) softball routed the visiting Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), 12-2 in Friday's league bout.

The Vikings (8-5) will now prepare for their bout against Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans go into the non-league bout with a 4-7 record.

The Yellow Jackets now possess a 0-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hoke County for a Sandhills 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, April 5. Lee County will confront a Bucks squad coming off a 11-3 league loss to Scotland (Laurinburg, NC). The Bucks record now stands at 7-8.
