Magnolia West Mustangs (Magnolia, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Paetow Panthers (Katy, TX), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 13-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rudder for a 5A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Magnolia West will battle a Rangers squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Paetow (Katy, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 7-14.

With the loss, Paetow falls to 16-8 on the campaign. The Panthers host Magnolia (Magnolia, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a 5A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 13-8. Magnolia won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Jordan (Fulshear, TX)
