In Friday's league contest, the Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA) softball team overwhelmed the host Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA), by a margin of 17-1.
With the triumph, Marquez moves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Gladiators travel to Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a Southern contest on Tuesday, April 5. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 0-4. Elizabeth lost 20-0 in their recent league contest against Torres (Los Angeles, CA)
In their next game, the Nighthawks play the Maywood CES Wolfpack (Maywood, CA) in a Southern contest, on Monday, April 4. Maywood Academy will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Wolfpack come into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 13-0 league loss to Bravo (Los Angeles, CA).
