The Elk Grove Thundering Herd volleyball team (Elk Grove, CA), was nudged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Serra Padres (San Mateo, CA)

The Padres (13-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Bellarmine College Prep (San Jose, CA). The Bells enter the WCAL challenge with a 12-7 record. In their last challenge, Bellarmine College Prep nipped Valley Christian (San Jose, CA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Thundering Herd encounter the Jesuit Marauders (Carmichael, CA) in a Delta League challenge, on Tuesday, April 4. Elk Grove will attempt to move on its 6-10 season record. The Marauders enter the challenge with a 23-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Ripon Christian (Ripon, CA).
