Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Peninsula Panthers (Rolling Hills Estates, CA), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Vasquez for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. Mira Costa will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 10-7 non-league loss to Golden Valley (Santa Clarita, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-10.

With the loss, Peninsula falls to 2-15 on the campaign. The Panthers host Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates, CA) to battle the Sea Kings in a Bay challenge on Wednesday, April 5. The Sea Kings enter the challenge with a record of 4-8. Palos Verdes won 6-3 in their recent league challenge against Culver City (Culver City, CA)
