The Cumberland Clippers baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Central Knights to 3 in the Clippers league victory on Monday.
The Clippers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI). The Hawks go into the Division 1 (State) match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Bishop Hendricken gained a win over Coventry (Coventry, RI), 10-4, in a league match.
The Knights (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Coventry (Coventry, RI). The Oakers go into the Division 1 (State) match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Coventry was overwhelmed by Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI), 10-4, in a league match.
