Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) followers exited the stadium content Monday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI), 14-0 in a league battle.

The Sentinels now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Providence Country Day for a battle on Friday, April 5. Smithfield will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to Westerly (Westerly, RI). The Knights record now stands at 0-1.

In their next game, the Chieftains clash with the Burrillville Broncos (Harrisville, RI) in a Division 3 battle, on Tuesday, April 9. Ponaganset will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Broncos come into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 6-2 league loss to Narragansett (Narragansett, RI).
