Madison Bobcats (Rexburg, ID) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Blackfoot Broncos (Blackfoot, ID), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Bobcats now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hillcrest for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Madison will face a Knights squad coming off a 16-6 non-league win over Century (Pocatello, ID). The Knights record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Blackfoot falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Broncos host Bonneville (Idaho Falls, ID) to face the Bees in a 4A High Country challenge on Wednesday, April 3. The Bees enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Bonneville won 12-5 in their recent non-league challenge against South Fremont (St. Anthony, ID)
