Arkansas High School Softball - Buffalo Island Central nudges East Poinsett County

Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Manila for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2.

With the loss, East Poinsett County falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR) to face the Greyhounds in a 2A Region 3 challenge on Thursday, April 4. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a record of 0-8. Marmaduke lost 20-0 in their recent league challenge against Riverside (Lake City, AR)
