The Salem Greyhounds softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Cave City Cavemen to 1 in the Greyhounds league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Salem improves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR) to clash with the Bobcats in a 3A Region 2 game on Tuesday, April 2. The Bobcats come into the game with a record of 7-5. Walnut Ridge lost 9-8 in their recent league game against Melbourne (Melbourne, AR)

In their next game, the Cavemen clash with the Mountain View Yellowjackets (Mountain View, AR) in a 3A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, April 2. Cave City will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the game with a 5-4 record after their 14-11 league win over Newport (Newport, AR).
