Cherokee Chiefs (Rogersville, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host King's Academy Lions (Seymour, TN), 14-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Chiefs now own a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to David Crockett for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Cherokee will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Morristown-Hamblen West (Morristown, TN). The Pioneers record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, King's Academy falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Christian Academy of Knoxville (Knoxville, TN) to face the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Christian Academy of Knoxville won 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN)
