Spectators at Monday's league match between the Peaster Greyhounds (Peaster, TX) and the host Eastland Mavericks (Eastland, TX), witnessed Peaster's softball squad tip Eastland by a count of 6-5.

The Greyhounds now sport a 15-7 record. They play next when they host Dublin for a 3A Region I District 8 match on Friday, April 5. Peaster will face a Lions squad coming off a 27-10 league loss to Early (Early, TX). The Lions record now stands at 1-14.

With the loss, Eastland moves to 10-10 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Millsap (Millsap, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Region I District 8 match on Friday, April 5. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 16-12. Millsap lost 11-1 in their recent league match against Comanche (Comanche, TX)
