In Tuesday's league bout, the East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) baseball squad edged the visiting Whiteville Wolfpack (Whiteville, NC), by a tally of 4-3.
Next up, the Gators encounter the South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 3. East Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 9-6 record after their 21-0 league win over Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC).
The Wolfpack (9-1) will now prepare for their bout against East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC). The Gators enter the Waccamaw 1A/2A bout with a 7-5 record. In their last bout, East Columbus was nudged by South View (Hope Mills, NC), 10-9, in a non-league bout.
