The Grants Pass Cavemen nipped the visiting Sheldon Irish baseball squad by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league outing.
Next up, the Cavemen battle the South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR) in a 6A Southwest outing, on Saturday, April 5. Grants Pass will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Axe come into the outing with a 2-4 record after their 9-2 non-league loss to Sprague (Salem, OR).
The Irish (1-4) will now prepare for their outing against Corvallis (Corvallis, OR). The Spartans come into the non-league outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Corvallis tipped Springfield (Springfield, OR), 15-4, in a non-league game.
