MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL), 17-0 in a league game.

The Generals (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL). The Cyclones go into the Central State Eight game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, Sacred Heart-Griffin was overwhelmed by Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL), 13-1, in a non-league game.

Next, the Lions play the Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight game, on Wednesday, April 2. Lanphier will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Senators go into the game with a 3-4 record after their 1-0 league loss to Glenwood (Chatham, IL).
