In Tuesday's league bout, the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), by a tally of 13-1.
Next up, the Hilltoppers encounter the Chesnee Eagles (Chesnee, SC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, April 2. R-S Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 10-6 record after their 10-0 league win over Blacksburg (Blacksburg, SC).
The Panthers (7-5) will now prepare for their bout against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers enter the Mountain Foothills 7 1A/2A bout with a 8-5 record. In their last bout, R-S Central was overwhelmed by Chesnee (Chesnee, SC), 4-2, in a non-league bout.
