The Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) baseball trounced the host Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL), 9-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Morris for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 3. Wilmington will clash with a Redskins team coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Joliet West (Joliet, IL). The Redskins record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, Reed-Custer drops to 5-3 on the year. The Comets host Streator (Streator, IL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Illinois Central Eight challenge on Monday, April 7. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 4-6.
