The Washburn Rural Blues baseball team scored 19 runs and held the host Topeka Trojans to 1 in the Blues league win on Tuesday.

The Blues now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lawrence for a non-league test on Friday, April 4. Washburn Rural will play a Lions team coming off a 5-2 league win over Shawnee Mission Northwest (Shawnee Mission, KS). The Lions record now stands at 5-0.

With the defeat, Topeka drops to 0-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Manhattan (Manhattan, KS) to play the Indians in a Centennial test on Friday, April 4. The Indians go into the test with a record of 2-0. Manhattan won 7-2 in their recent non-league test against Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA)
