In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Archbishop Mitty Monarchs volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish.

The Monarchs (17-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Junipero Serra (San Mateo, CA). The Padres come into the WCAL challenge with a 16-9 record. In their last challenge, Junipero Serra edged St. Ignatius College Preparatory (San Francisco, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Fightin' Irish play the St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats (San Francisco, CA) in a WCAL challenge, on Thursday, April 3. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 5-15 record after their 3-0 league loss to Junipero Serra (San Mateo, CA).
