Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) and the host New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), saw Laney's soccer squad knock off New Hanover by a count of 2-0.

The Buccaneers (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions enter the Mideastern 3A/4A battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, North Brunswick by South Brunswick (Southport, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Wildcats battle the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A battle, on Thursday, April 3. New Hanover will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 3-6 record after their 8-0 league loss to Topsail (Hampstead, NC).
