The Salem Spartans lacrosse squad scored 14 points and limited the visiting Jefferson Forest Cavaliers to 7 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Cross for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 3. Salem will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 18-1 league win over New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Jefferson Forest falls to 5-1 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 8. The Patriots go into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Albemarle won 23-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastern View (Culpeper, VA)
