In Tuesday's league match, the host Andrew Jackson Volunteers softball team scored a tight 8-3 victory over the Cheraw Braves.

The Volunteers (6-3) will now prepare for their match against Westwood (Blythewood, SC). The Redhawks go into the non-league match with a 5-11 record. In their last match, Westwood tipped Spring Valley (Columbia, SC), 13-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Braves battle the Central Eagles (Pageland, SC) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 4. Cheraw will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Eagles go into the match with a 0-9 record after their 13-1 non-league loss to Anson (Wadesboro, NC).
