With the triumph, South Point improves its record to 8-3 on the year. The Red Raiders host Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to play the Yellow Jackets in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 2. The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a record of 4-7. Bessemer City lost 19-0 in their recent league game against Burns (Lawndale, NC)

The Greenwave now hold a 2-11 record. They play next when they host North Gaston for a Big South 3A game on Thursday, April 3. Ashbrook will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Huss (Gastonia, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-8.
