The Athens Hornets softball team scored 19 runs and held the host Kemp Yellowjackets to 2 in the Hornets league win on Tuesday.

The Hornets now possess a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mabank for a 4A Region II District 15 battle on Tuesday, April 8. Athens will confront a Panthers team coming off a 11-1 league loss to Lindale (Lindale, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 6-13.

With the loss, Kemp moves to 1-12 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX) to confront the Bears in a non-league battle on Monday, April 7. The Bears come into the battle with a record of 6-10. Brownsboro lost 13-1 in their recent league battle against Lindale (Lindale, TX)
