The St. Clair County Fighting Saints triumphed over the visiting Clay-Chalkville Cougars softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Fighting Saints play the Pinson Valley Indians (Pinson, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 3. St. Clair County will attempt to upgrade on its 19-13 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 18-3 non-league loss to Leeds (Leeds, AL).
The Cougars (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Shades Valley (Birmingham, AL). The Mounties enter the non-league challenge with a 11-1 record. In their last challenge, Shades Valley edged Fultondale (Birmingham, AL), 15-1, in a non-league challenge.
